Electric overhead travelling cranes, also known as bridge cranes, are one of the most common types of overhead cranes, consisting of parallel runways with a travelling bridge spanning the gap.
There are mainly two types of EOT cranes
1. single girder EOT Crane
. Double girder EOT Crane
A double girder overhead crane is a lifting solution for medium and heavy duty loads. Double girder cranes provide improved support for the goods being handled by using two adjacently positioned beams, allowing for the movement of larger capacities.
single girder crane is used for light duty, short-term work. It has a normal lifting capacity of 20 ton and can work for a maximum of 6 hours. Actually, it is best suited for lifting capacities ranging from 1 to 20 ton. A single-girder EOT crane is useful for short-term operations with low duty loads.

Eot cranes have the advantage of having less headroom and a high lift capacity. In contrast to other types of cranes that have arms, the EOT crane has wheels that move along tracks. The building's length can be covered by a rail, and its breadth can be traversed by a hoist.
